TEACHER OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

Thank you very much for your enquiry about the post of Teacher of Social Sciences at Dunraven School. We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and successful Teacher to join our thriving and oversubscribed school. The curriculum area encompasses Government and Politics, Psychology and Sociology. An ability to teach Sociology and Psychology to A-Level is essential for this role.

SOCIAL SCIENCES AT DUNRAVEN

The Social Science department is experienced, effective and highly successful. Subjects include: Sociology (KS4/5), Psychology (KS5) and Government and Politics (KS5).

All teachers are members of a Departmental Team and members of a Year Team, either as a tutor or co-tutor. All staff are encouraged to play a full part in the life of the school in addition to the core tasks of preparation, teaching and marking.

Dunraven is keen to support all aspects of staff development, personal and professional, and has a strong staff development policy. It has had Investors in People status for many years. We have a very good track record of developing staff to move into leadership positions.

Short listed candidates will be asked to teach a sample lesson.
